Services

Software consulting without the middleman.

Automation, integrations, and custom software built by the same engineer from the first conversation through long-term support.

Common Work

  • Automate recurring admin tasks
  • Connect tools through APIs
  • Replace spreadsheet workflows
  • Build internal dashboards
  • Support systems after launch

What We Solve

Most teams don't know what they need. They just know something is broken.

You're probably here because...

  • Your team copies data between multiple systems
  • Reports take hours to assemble every week
  • Spreadsheets have become your primary database
  • Existing software doesn’t fit your workflow
  • You have an idea but don’t know how to build it
  • You've outgrown what no-code tools can do

Sound familiar? We can help.

Ways I Can Help

  • Custom Software

Build software around how your business actually operates—not around the limitations of out-the-box tools.

Internal tools · Customer portals · Dashboards · Database applications

  • Systems Integration

Connect the tools you already use so information moves automatically instead of through copy and paste.

    Google Workspace · Knack · Calendly · Stripe · Third-party APIs

  • Technical Consulting

Make confident technical decisions before committing time and budget to the wrong solution.

Architecture · Code review · Technical planning · Project rescue

A Different Way to Work

The Person Who Learns Your Business Builds the Software

The same engineer from start to finish and years later.

Larger Consulting Teams

Multiple points of contact.

  • Requirements passed through account managers
  • Developers may change over time
  • Business context transferred between developers
  • Responsibility shared across the team
  • Business knowledge rebuilt with each handoff

UpHill Solutions

One point of contact.

  • Requirements discussed directly with me
  • The same engineer from start to finish
  • Business context stays with me
  • Clear personal accountability
  • No repeated onboarding or re-explaining

How Capacity Works

Founder-led does not mean overextended.

We limit the number of active engagements we take on so clients do not compete for attention. New work is scheduled only when the capacity exists to support it properly.

The result is focused, accountable attention from the same engineer throughout the engagement.

  • 01

    Limited by design

Capacity is reserved before new work is accepted, so existing clients are not displaced by the next project.

  • 02

    Direct access

You work with the engineer doing the work, not an account manager or rotating delivery team.

  • 03

    Same engineer throughout

The same person scopes the problem, builds the solution, and supports it afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I always work directly with you?

Yes. Every project is designed, built, and supported by me.

Do you only work on new builds?

No. Most of our work starts with something that already exists, a process, a spreadsheet, or a system that needs to do more.

Can you improve an existing system?

Yes. We regularly extend, refactor, and add to software we didn’t originally build.

Do you work with small businesses?

Yes. Many of our clients are small teams where manual work has the biggest day-to-day impact.

Can you automate a process we already do manually?

In most cases, yes. If you can walk us through the steps, we can likely automate some or all of it.

Do you work with no-code tools?

Yes, alongside custom code where it makes sense. We use whatever gets the job done reliably.

How do you price projects?

Some work is billed hourly, some as a fixed-scope project, and some as an ongoing monthly retainer. The right model depends on how clearly the work can be scoped, how much discovery is needed, and whether you need ongoing support after launch.

What happens after launch?

You get documentation and the option for ongoing support, so the system keeps working as your business evolves.

How many clients do you work with at once?

I intentionally limit the number of active engagements based on their scope and support requirements. New work is accepted only when sufficient capacity is available.

When UpHill Is Not the Right Fit

This model works best when you want a direct, collaborative relationship with one experienced engineer.

  • You need a large development team working across many projects at once
  • You prefer requirements to pass through managers instead of working directly with the engineer
  • You want implementation without discussion, questions, or technical input
  • You are choosing primarily on the lowest upfront price
  • You need marketing, branding, or graphic design services
